  • Try to use the maximum of the space in the washing machine or dishwasher
  • Do not leave the water running when you brush your teeth or when you are shaving.
  • Take a quick shower instead a long time shower and do not leave the tap open while soaping.
  • Wash your car with a sponge and a bucket of water and do not use the garden hose.
  • When you are waiting someone for a long time, turn off your car engine.
  • Do not leave the tap open while you clean the dishes.
  • Wash the fruits in a bowl and use the same water for the plants.

Save energy Reduce your carbon footprint 

  • Replace incandescent bulbs with new fluorescent bulbs that save more energy. They consume 80% less energy and have up to 10 time longer life than conventional bulbs.
  • Make short trips by bike or walk. If you must travel for a long distance, use the public transportation.
  • Heat only the amount of water you need for tea or coffee. Warming a whole kettle with water, you use almost as much energy as needed to lighten your living for the whole evening.
  • Prefer the natural cooling or ceiling fans.
  • Do not use the clothes dryer. Prefer to hang them on a string and let them get dried.
  • Do not leave the TV on if you are not watching.
  • Do not leave the lights on for no reason
  • If you have an air condition, do not use it all the time. Turn your thermostat down by 1° C (You are saving 10% of your heating bill).
