I have received and studied the Environmental Education Programmes of CYCERE\u2019s for 2013-1014.<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like to express my admiration for the rich material included in this edition as a natural reflection and presentation of a multidimensional, multi-year and multifaceted work. My congratulations are sincere and warm.<\/span><\/p>\n

I appreciate that the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education is conducting a very important and remarkable work in the field of environmental Education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was given the chance in several occasions to ascertain myself the quality of the provided services. I also ascertained the unselfish willingness for offering of the members of the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Green Party of Cyprus and myself have helped with the development and thriving of the Centre and its activities as far as we could. The Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education has not disappointed or exposed our interest and support. It has deserved \u2013 and still deserves \u2013 all the support and help.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the state has not behaved over time on the activities of the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education with the expected affection. I am very sorry for that. These difficulties though have never disappointed the indomitable volunteers of the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education. In contrary, with the help of God and the blessings of the Bishop of Limassol Athanasios, they achieved continuing their work for the sake of Cyprus environment and education. I strongly believe we should highlight the relation of Education with researching and knowing nature. Nature as a creation is considered a divine gift offered to human as a manager and guardian. It is our duty to secure God\u2019s gift from generation to generation as to deliver it safely and harmlessly.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately human generations have been doing the opposite for many centuries. They destroy, rape and corrupt by consuming the natural sources, the beauties and the richness of this creation. The earth is delivered poorer and smaller from one generation to the next. It is therefore vital and redeeming the new generation knows and loves nature as Divine Creation through education and treats it as a stake and not as a consumer good.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education is worthy contributing to this end with its programme and activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

I wish you good luck in your lucrative work.<\/span><\/p>\n
