White fluff covers the stem and both surfaces of the leaves. Single heads with yellow central part and white flowers with pink or red color on the lower surface. Fruit achene. Flowering October &#8211; March.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Distribution &#8211; Uses<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">It is widespread and is a common plant in the Mediterranean zone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The flowers and leaves are eaten raw or cooked in soups and salads. Together with Bellis perennis they have great medicinal value. It is used as an analgesic, antitussive, emollient, digestive, laxative and tonic.
