Description
\n<\/strong>Two-year or perennial plant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lymphatic base leaves \u00a0while the higher ones surround the shoot.<\/span><\/p>\n

Flowers broad golden yellow.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fruit capsule that opens from above.<\/span><\/p>\n

It blooms from May to November<\/span><\/p>\n

Habitat
\n<\/strong>It is found in coastal sandy areas and has never been found in mainland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spreading
\n<\/strong>It is locally common on the beaches of Larnaca and in the area of \u200b\u200bTimis-Mandria in Paphos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Value – Uses
\n<\/strong>All parts of the plant, including the seeds, are toxic. The plant secretes a yellow juice that is poisonous. It causes several unpleasant symptoms such as high blood pressure, diarrhea, vomiting and severe breathing difficulties that can lead to death.<\/span><\/p>\n

In ancient times it was used as a cleanser.<\/span><\/p>\n
