<\/div><\/span><\/p>\n

This one-day program includes the participation of students in a series of activities with theoretical and practical direction and is based on the Pedagogical Approach of Education for Environmental Citizenship. It is organized in such way as to support the understanding of environmental concepts and issues by engaging students in an exciting learning adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Mission:<\/strong> Students are informed that as environmental citizens they are called upon to propose solutions to a real environmental problem. The solution of the problem presupposes the students to go through different data collection stations, participating in various experiential activities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Inquiry skills:<\/strong> Students collect and analyse information required, examine the structural causes of the problem, identify the values that lead the various stakeholders to the environmental problem and engage in outdoor activities to study the environmental problem.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Planning actions:<\/strong> The students record the stakeholders regarding the studied environmental problem, their arguments, and alternatives and evaluate the possible risks from the planned actions.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Social participation:<\/strong> Students decide and choose an alternative and are given the opportunity to exercise their environmental rights and obligations. Students organize and \/ or participate in public discussions and suggest information activities for peers, families, neighbours and the general public.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Networking and scale sharing:<\/strong> Students study and propose ideas for maximizing their action through networking, networking with NGOs, and developing social media campaigns.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Enhancing environmental & social change:<\/strong> Students implement additional actions and adopt measures to enhance change, considering ways to inform the general public about the effectiveness of their actions.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Evaluation and reflection:<\/strong> Students evaluate the success of their actions by evaluating the effectiveness of the stages and steps that followed.
