\"draseis_panorthodoksi_imera_prostasias_perivallontos2.png\"<\/a>The Celebration of the Orthodox Day of Environment Protection was held on September 2, 2007, at the premises of the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education at St. Nicholas Farm, in the Akrotiri Peninsula. <\/span>

The event was characterized by great success as it gathered more than 170 attendants. The event included a greeting by the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment \u2013 Mr. Fotis Fotiou, a speach by the Chorepiskopo of Amathunta Mr. Nicolaos about the \u00abOrthodox Church and the Environment\u00bb as well as a symbolic tree planting in the Botanical Gardens of the CYCERE. The whole event was covered by the media.<\/span><\/p>\n
