Through the environmental education material Educational package: \u00abViable Gardens in our country \u2013 Adaptations of Cyprus plants to the Mediterranean Climate\u00bb<\/strong> students are asked to help some other student of Iliaktida village develop a school garden resistant at high temperatures and water scarcity by selecting the appropriate plants. Through various activities, students collect data regarding the adaptations of plants in Cyprus as to develop a garden model with plants resistant to the Mediterranean Climate and to present it as a suggestion to the Iliaktida village students. Each activity allows the active involvement of students in the educational process and promotes collaboration amongst them. This environmental education material aims to contribute in preparing the students for real life by providing knowledge, cultivating skills, developing positions, values and attitudes as to be established as active citizens able to manage environmental issues and contribute to the development of a sustainable community.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
