Environmental education is in our days an important pillar of modern educational programs aiming at providing knowledge and skills, as well as cultivating environmental culture and behaviour to all children. This need has been served for over a decade by the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education. For this service I warmly congratulate both the staff of the Centre and the Holy Bishopry of Limassol for the strong support it has provided.

I deeply appreciate the methodological approach of your educational work which aims in cultivating all of students’ personality aspects, including creative expression. Your actions are clear proof that combining such initiatives with informal education can harmonize with the work of the formal education system.
