Introduction

What is CYCERE

The Cyprus Centre of Environmental Research and Education (CYCERE) is located in the heart of the Akrotiri Peninsula and is the first of its kind independent environmental center of Cyprus. CYCERE aims to contribute in environmental conservation by adopting and promoting strategies in environmental education, environmental research and information.

To whom is addressed to?

The programs and activities of CYCERE are addressed to all visitors visiting the peninsula, with particular emphasis on young people-students who are interested on learning about the ecological value of the natural  ecosystems of Cyprus, highlighting the ecosystems of Cape peninsula, the dangers that threat them  and the need to preserve them for the future generations, giving the students the opportunity for a more experiential educational approach.

Cooperation with researchers and young scientists is also encouraged so as to promote environmental research in Cyprus
