Pancyprian Student Conference for the Environment and Sustainability

The Inspection of Naturalism / Biology / Geography of the Secondary Education Administration in collaboration with the Cyprus Centre for Environmental Research and Education (CYCERE) of the Holy Bishopry of Limassol have organised for the first time the 1st Pancyprian Student Conference for the Environment and Sustainability. During the Conference, 72 student groups from more than 60 Gymnasia and Lyceums of all around Cyprus presented their environmental projects designed and produced during the academic year 2014-2015 in the form of a scientific project and oral announcements. More than 500 students and 105 teachers participated at the Conference. The projects were placed under 14 thematic units: Sustainable living, Wastes, Urban development, Biodiversity, Forests, Energy, Climate change, Transportation means, Water, Production and Consumption, Environment and Culture, Environment and Health, Tourism, Poverty.

The 2nd Pancyprian Student Conference for the Environment and Sustainability was held on the 9th of April at the Conference Room of the Holy Bishopry of Limassol, Ellados and Enoseos corner, 3041 Limassol, 9:00 – 13:00. At the Conference a total of 52 student groups, 410 students and 65 coordinating teachers and accompanying teachers participated. Additionally, 22 teachers of Secondary Education from Greece participated. Each student group under the supervision of the coordinating teachers prepared a scientific poster under the thematic areas of: Wastes, Desertification, Tourism, Urban development, Transportation means Poverty, Biodiversity, Water, Environment and Health, Forest, Production and Consumption, Climate change, Energy, Environment and Culture, Sustainable living

The 3rd Pancyprian Conference for the Environment and Sustainability  was held with great success at the Seminars Hall of the Holy Bishopry of Limassol, Ellados str. and Enoseos str. corner on the 18th of March 2017, 9:00 – 13:00.

At the 3rd Pancyprian Student Conference for the Environment and Sustainability, more than 650 students and 100 coordinating teachers participated. More specifically, at the conference, 90 student groups from over 70 high schools from all over Cyprus presented the environmental projects that they designed and produced during the school year 2016-2017 in the form of scientific posters and oral presentations.

 Each student group under the supervision of the coordinating teachers prepared a scientific poster under the thematic areas of: Wastes, Desertification, Tourism, Urban development, Transportation means Poverty, Biodiversity, Water, Environment and Health, Forest, Production and Consumption, Climate change, Energy, Environment and Culture, Sustainable living

3rd Pancyprian Conference for the Environment and Sustainability

The 4th Pancyprian Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability was held with great success in the Events Hall of the Holy Diocese of Limassol, on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

At the conference, 96 student groups from 80 Gymnasiums and Lyceums from all over Cyprus presented the environmental projects they designed and prepared during the 2018-2019 school year in the form of a scientific poster and oral announcements. More than 500 students and 100 teachers participated in the conference. The work was part of 14 thematic sections: Sustainable Lifestyle, Waste, Urban Development, Biodiversity, Forest, Energy, Climate Change, Transportation, Water, Production and Consumption, Environment and Culture, Environment and Health, Poverty.
