Environmental education is currently an important aspect of the modern educational programs aimed at providing knowledge and skills as well as cultivating environmental culture and behavior in all children. This need has been served for a decade by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education. I warmly congratulate both the staff of the Center and the Holy Mitropoly of Limassol for its strong support for this service.
I especially appreciate the methodological approach of your educational project which aims to cultivate all aspects of students’ personalities, including creative expression. Your actions are clear evidence that combining such initiatives with informal learning can be harmoniously linked to the work of the formal education system.
I once again extend my warmest congratulations to you and I wish you as the Center continues to evolve and expand the horizons of action of the educational system.
