Educational Workshop: “Training for the Earth Education – Introduction to the Earthkeepers Program”– 13th April, 2010

The Educational workshop organized by the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education (CYCERE), on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the premises of the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education, in the farm of St. Nikolaos, at Akrotiri. having as subject “Training for the Earth Education – Introduction to the Earthkeepers Program”, was characterized by great success.

In this workshop, Bruce Johnson (Associate Professor in the department of Teaching and Teacher Education at the University of Arizona and Director of the Earth Education Research and Evaluation Team) introduced all the participants (teachers, CYCERE’s friends and cooperators) into the basic principals of the Earth Education as well as he presented the innovative program EarthKeepersbased on these principals that is offered for the very first time into a Greek-speaking place – from the Cyprus Center for Environmental Research and Education.

During this workshop all the participants had the oppurtunity to be informed about the innovative program EarthKeepers as well to take a small taste from its activities.
